Cyber Cash Cows dot Com Monthly Roundup (September and October 2009)

It’s been a while since I’ve had any active posts here. I’ve been way over my head in schoolwork that I even somehow managed to miss my September Roundup, so here’s a consolidated version for the months of September and October. For those of you that haven’t been with us since August, here are the stats from back then:

August Statistics

Alexa Ranking: 885,460
RSS Subscribers: 22
Visitors: 2,103
Average Visitors Per Day: 71
Page Views: 4,149
Average Page Views Per Day: 138
Google PageRank: 0

And I have data for both September and October, so I’ll just average the two of them and treat them as a “single” month. But if you want the raw stats for the time period just multiple the relevant parameters by two.

September and October Statistics

Alexa Ranking: 512,959
RSS Subscribers: 30
Visitors: 8,323
Average Visitors Per Day: 277
Page Views: 13,758
Average Page Views Per Day: 458
Google PageRank: 2

Analysis

Woot!!!! Not only did I finally manage to get some pagerank, but the jump from 0 – 2 is tremendous. And this is with very little moderation/time commitment on my part due to my classwork, so I can only hope to grow even greater in the future as I devote more time into this endeavor. My alexa ranking has also been steadily growing, and my viewership has nearly doubled! The only aspect that I’m somewhat disappointed about is the number of RSS subscribers that I have gained in the two month period. Now, I know that subscribers are the backbone of any successful blog, and as such is one of the hardest elements to push, but an increase of 8 subscribers in two months time is somewhat disheartening. I shall have to focus more in this area as time goes on.

Cyber Cash Cows dot Com Monthly Roundup (August 2009)

As you guys already know, Cyber Cash Cows dot Com recently underwent its one month anniversary. One of the reasons I wanted to start this blog in the first place was to be able to track the growth and progress of my blog on a monthly basis. Not only would this help myself in keeping track of my own statistics, it would also show you, the reader, what really works in making money online.

With school starting up again, as well as a couple personal things keeping me occupied, I haven’t been able to post as regularly as I wanted to. But hopefully within a couple more weeks of becoming situated here, I’ll be back to my systematic self.

I haven’t been able to keep a good record of the monetary gains that I have acquired from this site, so I won’t be able to perform an analysis on that aspect of the site. But I’ll be sure to include this in future roundups. Anyways, without further to do, lets get the ball rolling!

Analysis

Personally, I’m pretty happy with my Alexa Growth, since I basically started at the end of the internet and managed to break the top million in a month. It’ll be much harder to continue to climb the rankings at this rate, but my goal is to eventually top the 100,000s. Not bad for a month’s work I guess. RSS subscribers is probably the most relevant/important statistic, since the foundation of traffic stems from your subscription base. Hopefully this will grow in the coming months. Not much I can do about the PageRank though. I’ll need to build a wider range of backlinks in order to get that rolling. Hopefully I’ll be able to get at least a PR of 1-2 within a few months. I have a couple of ideas that will hopefully increase my number of RSS subscribers as well as improve the overall experience for my viewers, but you’re going to have to wait for it in the upcoming months!

After a few weeks of construction, Cyber Cash Cows dot Com is finally live! And I would like to personally welcome you to a Cyber Cash Cows lifestyle. Together we will be looking into ways of earning money from your own home. So how did I get sucked into this field? Well like any high-schooler, my appeal stemmed from a desire to improve increase my “spending money”, but as I progressed into the realm of college-life, I realized that this market had much greater potential. Not only was I able to pay for hundreds of dollars worth of textbooks, but I was also steadily increasing my own bankroll. In no way am I claiming to be some sort of a online money making guru or that I’ve already made millions on the web. Instead, I am simply chronicling my journey from internet rags to riches.
