The Get Paid To community has been in an uproar after the launch of a new rewards based site–Lockerz.
Questions have been brought up about the legitimacy of a site that rewards you for doing just about anything.
So what is Lockerz?
Lockerz.com is a brand new site that rewards you for just about everything you do. Registration is very easy and members can earn points extremely quickly. One of the main reasons why its popularity is spreading so rapidly is because it’s very easy to earn enough points to redeem a variety of merchandise. This includes MacBooks, Designer Handbags, Video Games, iPods, Nintendo Wiis and much more.
How it works
You can earn points in 3 ways:
1. Logging in each day.
2. Answering the question of the day.
3. Referring new members.
For example, in the first day alone, I got 23ptz through registration, 2 ptz for signing in, and another 2 ptz for answering the question of the day. All this for a grand total of 27pts! What does this all mean? Well, I can already redeem many videos games such as GTA4, which is priced 25pts!
Is Lockerz.com a legitimate website?
As a testament to the legitimacy of Lockerz.com, its CEO, Kathy Savitt, used to be Vice President at Amazon.com and the CMO at American Eagle. Lockerz.com major financial contributors is Liberty Media, which owns a major part of Time Warner, which is the firm that supports Bodybuilding.com and QVC.

It is a scam. Apparently, items are only re-stocked once a month and they are all out in a minute.
So, yeah, scam. And I’m very irritated I was lured to waste a day on it. It should be illegal to abuse users like they do.

Just because some of you receive stuff does not mean it’s not a scam. i have recieved a 50 £ gift card but i still know it’s a scam. they send out few prizes to make everyone else think it’s real and stay on the site. it’s a basic strategy for scam-sites like lockerz. first they take alot and give some and later just take alot. in the may redemption, MOST of the users(legit users without any fake emails) who redeemed more expensive stuff(macbook, ipod and such) have got their order cancelled and the rest who redeemed got an 25 $ Paypal which they all will receive since it’s not much.
thats not a scam then if you can win stuff from the site thats what it says it does, what do you expect them to have it open 24/7, do you know how much money and time it would take them to do that thats why it is once a month stuff you win or you don’t.

I think lockerz is not a scam. They just have limited items and if their stocks run out, you can try next time. And try reading the TERMS first before making stupid comments about them controlling when the redemption period is. It’s all there, they have the right. Do some educated research before making such statements.
Lockerz is a scam. they are making so much money off of us by their advertisments on their videos and answering daileys to send off to companies. they could at least make the site where you can redeem up to 10 minutes after restock but the thing is i dont even think they restock everything in their prize list. JM you are probabaly getting payed by the money savvy ass-holes. And i did my research through expeirence LOCKERZ IS A SCAM!!!
I do not think it is a scam however it is does not seem very fun. i have had it for only about 3 days and only have about 50 points. I want to become a Z-list person but it is such a hassle trying to invite 20 friends and getting them to actually Join. I think it is a great idea for a website but reedeming prizes seems also like a hassle. There is not garuntee that you will get your prize when you reedeem it. This is why you must buy insurance that will garuntee your prize but these are like 3000 points and is extremly annoying.
Well i will let you all know when i become a z-lister and actually buy a prize to see if this website is Legit.

Alright guys this is what happens. Every month they resupply the amount of products nesassary to still make profit from the money the site generates. So basically every month they sell a limited supply so that they are still making money. So no it is not a scam, but its not as amazing as some people make it be.

Soon you will not have to wait for a redemption to redeem. They will continuously restock, because with the addition of PLAY, they can easily sell advertisements for a lot of money with the site’s millions of members.
I started lockerz a couple days ago and I almost have 200 ptz. I am saving up for a ps3 and so I look in the catalog a like backgrounds or something and it says something like coming soon. When is soon what time of the month?

It isn’t a scam, Lockerz will be fully open in summer of 2010 then they will get stock in. I recommend getting PTZ now so you can be ahead of everybody else.

Just beacause one of your friends got a PSP doesnt mean that it isnt a scam, if you look at it through a business studies angle then you can see that there scamming others by giving a limited supply of stock to the people trying to get points off it, once youve tried to get something off the site you cannot redeem your points meaning if you buy something with them when Lockerz dont have any stock youve lost your points already and wasted your time on it. By giving Lockerz your time your giving it hits onto its site and making it even more popular thats why other sites pay lockerz to advertise on that site there fore giving lockerz a ammount of money to buy stuff while still making profit, in the end lockerz is just a big scam but you gotta look at it from a different angle instead of just believing because one of your friends got something, so is everyone else
Whether or not this website is a scam is completely irrelevant to the average user. Think about it: We’re sitting at home, on our computers, watching entertaining videos (or just waiting through them to put in the two words), and maybe inviting people once in a while. Whether or not these activities merit any reward is completely unrelated. If we weren’t watching lockerz vids, we’d be watching youtube vids. Or playing games. Or watching porn. At least this way, you feel like you MIGHT be getting something out of it (though that argument can be made for both games and porn, however, it’s a little more exciting to get a PS3 in the mail than to get a blow-up doll).
I just got my MacBook Pro, and plan to be getting a MagicMouse. Lockerz is seriously legitimate. They are sponsored to do the dailies and adds, that’s how they make their money. They work, and you can get a prize. The hard part is getting it the day of redemption without it being out of stock I had to wait through three different redemptions until I finally got one. But they sent it two weeks later, and it was awesome!
Fuck off, this is a scam… I have been doing this for over 5 weeks now. I got to know them and they told me I was getting an iPod Touch… What do I get? NOTHING. Now shut up and admit, you like waisting time on shit like that.

Hello guys , today was the redemption for international so I logged in and tried 5 times to redeem something and clicked on redeem and I entered my info : street address , phone , fist , last name ect. and then when finaly clicked redeem IT SAID THE ITEM FRESH OUT !!! They don’t give people free stuff !!! They give to friends maybe and their friends add videos on youtube and ect. to prove people wrong , just to fake and lure ppl!!! Soon a shop option will be in lockerz and they will start making more money not giving free stuff EVER!!!

I have actually received something from them.
Just because everything says out of stock doesn’t mean they are a scam. That list is just to show you what is available.
They actually let you redeem at a certain time.
They don’t want to put it 24/7 is because they want everyone to have a fair shot a redeeming.
The ptz are low because they want to attract people to join their site. Now the game you were talking about is 400ptz.
Now they have released a new feature called “SHOP”. It is a place where you can buy and lower the prices with your ptz.
You will still have to pay with real money. Unless you discounted to 100% and that would be like 3000ptz+.

not a scam our friend redeemed a PSP and were not even in the USA the item is free but the shipment to our country is not he paid around 10$ for the shipment if i remember correctly
people i am sorry to inform you but i am positive now that lockerz is infact, a scam and a fraud. i am saying this because a few days ago SHOP opened and i bought a prize from there( i am a z lister and i was the first one to order) as soon as a ordered i got a message saying it was on the way,THEN a 3 days later a message from lockerz appeared in my email saying all of my prize orders were cancelled and that they were going to give back my ptz, the reason i knew they were lying was because when i ordered my prize i got it immediatly and only a few days after that they were out of stock. and they did not give back my ptz either , i suspect that what they did was send out about 100 prizes across the u.s and left the rest to have “insufficant stock” so that the select 100 would brag and make videos about how they got their prizes. again i regret to inform you that lockerz is indeed a scam and a fraud those of that can spread the word and lets hope we can ban lockerz
100% scam. I was one of the first members of locker i have 660 points and i invited 72 people. I have ordered an Ipod Touch, IPad, and a ZLIST Tshirt. They all never came. The ZLIST Tshirt i ordered a year ago and they rest 6 months ago. People at my school say that they got stuff but the only reason they do it is because they want invites to try to get a zlist shirt. Then when they got enough points and 6 months later the shirt never comes the’ll be parading around the school saying how lockerz is a big scam. Dont waste your time. ITS A SCAM!I REPEAT! Well. I have no idea (as I don’t have it), but one of my freinds told me that no matter what, the “VIP”S (people who invited lots of people) get first dibs… which is quite cheap… I don’t think that it’s a scam, just annoying to “non-VIP”s. :/ Not sure, though.

Not necessarily a scam, but a complete waste of time. If you haven’t signed up for lockerz yet, don’t do so. I got z-list about 5 months ago and when I did so they said that I would receive a free z-list t-shirt. I have never received that shirt and at this point I don’t plan to ever receive it. I also now have over 4,000 points which is enough to get a lot of good prizes. Unfortunately, it is impossible to get a prize because you have to be on your computer at the exact time the redemption is which is only 1 hour long and at a random time during a random day near the end of the month. Today, I missed the redemption by 20 minutes. This means that I have to wait until next month and hope that I am lucky enough to be there during the redemption. Also, I probably won’t have enough ptz next time because they will probably raise the prices.

I don’t think it’s a scam, I think it’s rather genius! Is there a better way to get thousands and thousands of hits every day, than giving away free stuff for doing just about anything? Of course, everyone can’t get free stuff, thy don’t got the capasity for that, but u’ll get free stuff if you’re quick. I redeemed a blanket from Lockerz, only because everything else was freshed out. I got it 3 weeks later, so it’s not a scam, after all. And now they even opened a shop on the website. Items cost money, but you can lower the price using points, and you earn points for buying. I don’t see anything but greatness in that 😀

I have had a lockerz account for a few months and have gathered 1510 PTZ.
But 10 minutes ago they said that only people who bought something in shop in may and are in the us can redeem
it’s a total scam!
So i have to spend a year getting about 3000 PTZ to get something for free in shop and have enough points for an ipod touch, and even if i do all that im screwed up becauseim not in the U.S.
Fuck you lockerz i am going to sue you for everything you have!
that redemption is only for people who used shop, there will be a normal redemption at the end of this month so dont mind that redemption, you will get your chance at the end of each month! (and there will soon be 24/7 redemptions :D)

I’ve been a z-lister on lockerz.com for months. After so many unsuccesful attempts of ptz redemptions. I finally ordered a mouse pad from their shop using 485ptz. Guess what, first they send me an email saying the item is highly demanded so it’s out of stock… therefore my order is canceled.
Then, they send me another email saying the reason my order was cancelled b/c they “believed” that I cheated so they decided to “rob” my 485ptz!!??
Wow, it’s unbelievable. I’ve been a z-lister for over 6months, I log in everyday and answer their dailies; watching 4-10 videos a day for the past 2-3 weeks (4-12ptz/video). Now they send me an email saying I did not earn my ptz legitimately and acusing me of frauds 🙁

its not a scam i got a blue ray disc today, lil wayne dvd like 2 days ago, and a kanye west dvd/cd thing, i also redeemed a tie dye skin for my ipod. the only thing is it took over a month for the dvds to come in and they just started to send out emails with tracking numbers and all but i did recieve my skin within a week. but the thing is its hard to redeem ipods, mac books, etc
