The Gmail Dot Trick

Posted By Tony on August 10th, 2009

gmailMost of you avid GPTers probably already know of the Gmail trick that improves your offer approval ratings, but for those that don’t, it’s time to shine the light on this age old method. This method allows users to reuse the same email address for multiple offers.

To accomplish this, all you need to do is create a new Gmail account with a relatively long username. The reason that you would want a fairly long username is because this will allow you to generate more combinations with the dot trick.

For example, if I had the email address: Cybercashcows@gmail.com

Then I would be able to use:

Cybercashcow.s@gmail.com

Cybercashco.w.s@gmail.com

Cyber.cash.cows@gmail.com

ect.

All of these will map to your same gmail account, but offers will recognize each of them as an unique account. This allows you to get a lot more use with each account, rather than having to constantly create new unique gmail accounts.

Hopefully this information will improve your ability to make money online!

On another note, Cyber Cash Cows is coming to its 1 month anniversary, and I am currently planning some sort of promotion for this event. But right now, we still have a couple days before that day comes, so I would like to turn my attention to the readers. What do you want me to write about? Is there something that you’ve been wanting to learn more about, but never had the opportunity? Please leave a comment or feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the GPT industry or any questions with making money online in general!

Thanks a bunch for reading and if you like what you’re reading, please subscribe to my blog!

    I don’t like to use that dot…

  2. Surya says:

    Woah… I didn’t know that, that’s actually pretty useful.

  3. You have to be careful with this these days. Some advertisers and GPTs are banning the use of the dot trick (along with things like Roboform). Be sure you read the sites terms before you use things like this.

But overall, it is a very good trick and keeps you from having to make multiple Gmail accounts in a short period of time…which is also becoming a problem with Google.

Though I’ve personally never bee able to use the trick, I hear it’s a great deal and allows you to keep things pointing towards you because all similar sounding ids point towards you.

Its really intresting to know about this.

  6. So does it work with sent emails. I mean, if somebody sent me an email with dots all the way through it, i’d still recieve it?

  7. is it very suitable trick or harmful one?

This trick may fool automatic systems, however, if the site is patrolled by humans, you may get caught. Especially if you use it for spam.

So… What exactly could you do with this trick, what advantage does it give you?

  10. wow, cool stuff, thanks for sharing!
